Healthy Heart Tests
My Heart Clinic also offers variety of Healthy Heart Tests
Prevention and early diagnosis are key to avoiding cardiovascular disease. We offer basic and executive health screening, however we also tailor our service to your circumstances.
Around seven million people in the UK live with heart and circulatory diseases. This includes coronary heart disease, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, and stroke. Heart and circulatory diseases cause more than a quarter (26 per cent) of all deaths in the UK.
Our consultants can assess the health of your heart and detect the early signs of any heart problems, such as arrhythmia and heart failure, as well as determining your risk of stroke or heart attack.
Our specialist screening techniques allow our experts to diagnose and monitor heart issues – even at an early stage before symptoms develop. We will recommend treatment and any further tests that may be needed.
Following healthy heart packages are available:
One-to-one consultation with a consultant cardiologist and 12 Lead resting Electrocardiogram
In addition to package 1, you will receive a one-to-one consultation with a consultant cardiologist. He will discuss the results of the initial tests and will recommend further tests, if needed.
One-to-one consultation with a consultant cardiologist and ultrasounds can (Echocardiogram) of the Heart

In addition to package 1, you will receive a one-to-one consultation with world-renowned cardiologists. He will discuss the results of the initial tests and will recommend further tests, if needed.
One-to-one consultation with consultant cardiologist, ultrasounds can of the Heart (Echocardiogram) and prolonged 14-day (wireless) heart monitor
If you have experienced intermittent palpitations, shortness of breath or chest pain we would recommend this package. As well as everything offered in the previous packages we will also fit a small, discreet, ambulatory ECG monitor which you will wear for 7-14 days.
During this time the monitor will record your heart rhythm as well as giving you the ability to document any symptoms you experience whilst it is equipped. Once the monitor is removed it is sent to be analysed and the results sent to your consultant for them to discuss with you.
The results of all these tests are available on the same day after your tests.
All prices of above packages are considerably better compared to prices offered through insurance companies.
These tests are not only suitable for individuals who do not have heart disease but also for people who have got heart related symptoms.

Maintain Healthy Heart
If you’re concerned about your heart health and want to stay healthy, you can take some simple steps for maintaining a healthy heart:
Improve your diet
A healthy diet can help to reduce the symptoms of many heart conditions including heart disease, heart attack and stroke. Try to fill up on fruit and vegetables to get the most nutrition for a healthy heart.
It is very important to quit smoking as smoking is a definite risk factor for all types of cardiovascular diseases particularly coronary artery disease and stroke.
Regular exercise is an important way to lower your risk of heart disease. By exercising for as little as 30 minutes most days, you can lose weight and lower your blood pressure which will help to keep your heart healthy.
Eat more fish
Findings suggest that unsaturated fats in fish can help protect against abnormal heart rhythms, making fish a valuable choice for a heart healthy diet.
Switch your choice of chocolate
Making the simple switch from milk chocolate to dark chocolate can help you to protect your heart. Studies show that, unlike milk chocolate, dark chocolate can improve health and lower the risk of heart disease.
Limit your alcohol intake
Everyone enjoys a drink from time to time but as a diuretic, alcohol will make you urinate more frequently which increases the risk of dehydration. Alcohol can also dilate blood vessels which may lower your blood pressure, putting more strain on your heart. Alcohol is the most potent trigger of atrial fibrillation, the commonest heart rhythm disorder.
Avoid salty food
Eating too much salt can cause high blood pressure which can increase your heart disease. Ideally you need to limit your salt intake to less than 2.4 grams per day, which means reading food labels closely and limiting the amount of additional salt you add to your food.
Get tested for Diabetes
It’s important to know if you are diabetic as, is left untreated, diabetes can damage your artery walls and contribute to heart disease.
Find ways to enjoy staying fit
Staying fit and healthy is a great way to keep your heart healthy and a great way to stay motivated with exercising is to choose activities that combine exercise and socialising such as Pilates, yoga, dancing or cycling.
